He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Francis Nix and Willnell Shepherd; and his siblings, Cyne Nix and Shirlene Nix. He is survived by: his wife Ann Nix of Blairsville; his sons, Richard Nix of Ellijay and Tim Nix of Helen; his sister Dimple Donelly of Jasper; his niece Vickie Shackleford of Jasper; and his grandchild Houstyne Nix.
