It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jean Brendle of Blairsville, Georgia, born in Macon, North Carolina, who passed away on August 15, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover W. Smith, Sr. and Marjorie Smith (Gass); and her husband John "J. B.". She is survived by: her son John Brendle III; her brothers, Clyde Smith and James Smith; her children, Marjorie Young of Blairsville, GA, Grover Brendle (Susie) of Blairsville, GA, Cynthia Brendle of Blairsville, GA and James Brendle of Altamonte Springs, FL; her brothers, Wade Smith, Willard Smith, Neville Smith, Paul Smith and Grover Smith, Jr.; and her grandchildren, Duane Hyatt, Deanna Parker, John Brendle IV, Jessica Brendle, Jeffrey Brendle, Travis Brendle and Mark Brendle. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
