He was predeceased by: his parents, Dock Franklin and Edith Bernice Monroe Dixon; his sister Barbara Dixon Thompson; and his stepdaughter Shelly Dixon. He is survived by: his wife Mary Howell Dixon of Blackshear; his children, David Dixon (Sue Ann) of Patterson, Cynthia Lovett (Olin) of Statesboro and Angel Knowlton (Kevin) of Blackshear; his stepchildren, Helen Arnold of Blackshear and Link Smart of Blackshear; his siblings, Beverly Wall of Savannah, Berna Hitson (Jimmy) of Old Town, FL, Franklin Dixon of San Antonio, TX and Larry Dixon of Townsend, GA; and his grandchildren, Ryan Dixon (Kristen), Ethan Lovett (Banks), Courtney Devereaux (Justin), Blaine Lovett, Skylar Arnold (James), Tyce Lovett (Mercedes), Dixon Knowlton and Emma Knowlton. He is also survived by 10 step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews.
