With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Winnell Courson Prescott of Blackshear, Georgia, who passed away on March 25, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Winnell Courson shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Isaac Courson and Lovie Juanita Boatright Courson; her husband Walter Robert Prescott; and her siblings, Johnny Courson, Vernon Courson, Carolyn Bennett, Juanita Bullard and Glenda Mae Courson.
She is survived by: her brother Wendell Courson (Shinook) of Texas; and her close friends, Lawanda Jones of Folkston and Charles "Bubba" Smith of Hilliard. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
