He was predeceased by: his parents, William Daniel Rowell and Eva Yaughn Rowell; and his brothers, Floyd Dan Rowell, Harry Marvin Rowell, Thomas J. Rowell and E. Cecil Rowell.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Joyce Moncrief Rowell; his children, Janis Rowell Ellington (Toby) and William Bartley Rowell; his sister Ruby Rowell Horne; and his grandchildren, William Justin Rowell, Eva Breze Marie Rowell and Daniel Rowell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
