It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Wes Bennett III of Blackshear, Georgia, born in Screven, Georgia, who passed away on September 3, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wes Berry Bennett Jr. and Agatha Nettles; and his siblings, Ronnie and Donnie. He is survived by: his wife Genie Bennett; his children, Ceb Bennett (Allison), Ben Bennett (Neile) and Stephanie Byrd (Bert); and his siblings, Joey Bennett and Annette Bennett (Jim). He is also survived by his grandchildren.

The Bennett Family requests donations be made to Pierce County High School and Pierce County Middle School golf teams.
