Valera Sue Shoemaker Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 7, 2025, at the age of 87, Valera Sue Shoemaker of Blackshear, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Marion and Juanita Deloach Colley; and her siblings, Marian James, Ed Deloach and Ray Deloach.
She is survived by: her children, Suzanne Shoemaker of Charleston, SC, Butch Shoemaker (Sandra) and Mike Shoemaker (Patti) of Pickens, SC; her sisters, Ann Wall of Blackshear and Bobbi Peacock of Alma; her grandchildren, Jason Shoemaker (Sayuri), Wendy Shoemaker and Nicholas Shoemaker (Olivia); and her great grandchildren, Rina, Ren, Colsen, Hazel and Rowen Shoemaker. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home (659 Main St, Blackshear, GA 31516). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Pearson-Dial Chapel (659 Main St, Blackshear, GA 31516). A burial was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Blackshear City Cemetery (318 Taylor St, Blackshear, GA 31516).
