He is survived by: his wife Jenetha Strickland Chaney of Blackshear; his sons, Virgil (Tereasa Chaney) of Blackshear and Bryan Chaney of Blackshear; his grandchildren, Christopher Chaney and Kaitlyn Hamelin; his great grandchild Zara Murray; his nieces and nephews, Karen Bowen Patterson of Blackshear, Loretta Smith (Roger) of Douglasville, Mona Strickland Cisneros (Larry) of Blackshear, Jodi Strickland of Blackshear, Virgil Leroy Chaney of Texas and Foy Kirkland (Lafain) of Blackshear; and his close friend Franklin Peacock. He is also survived by several other relatives and friends.
