He is survived by: his wife Mary Faye "Goody" Metts Howell of Blackshear; his children, Sharon Thrift of Yulee, FL, Deborah Stevens (Allen) of Milledgeville, Dianna Floyd (Shane Moncy) of Interlachen, FL, Dana Howell of Ocala and Richard Leonard (Joann) of Blackshear; his brother Johnny Howell (Judy) of Blackshear; his grandchildren, Brandi Yang (Ben), Brintz Sweat (Lauren), Shane Hayes, Amy Hughes, Blaise Sweat, Ashley Fredrick (Brandon), Mary Jane Floyd and Hunni Simpson; his great grandchildren, Canyon Thrift of Yulee and Preston Hughes of Blackshear; and his great-nephew Benjamin Howell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
