It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Edgar Kersey Sr. (Blackshear, Georgia), born in Appling, Georgia, who passed away on March 21, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Kersey and Naomi Reynolds Kersey Rentz; his wife Aline Bratcher Kersey; his stepfather Henry "Man" Rentz; and his siblings, Curtis Rentz, Cecil Rentz, William Reynolds and Angie Quinn.
He is survived by: his sons, Thomas E. Kersey, Jr. (Robin Harris) of Waycross, GA and William Daniel Kersey (Kelly) of Blackshear; his grandchildren, Ryan Thomas Kersey (Paige) of Valdosta, GA, Ashley Danielle Kersey of Valdosta, GA, Brittany Poole (Matthew) of Blackshear, GA, Austin Poole of Blackshear, GA and Haley Tuten of Blackshear, GA; his great grandchildren, Kate Kersey, Autumn Kersey, Simone Bailey, Renzie Yarbrough and MayMay Burney; and his sisters, Montine Burkett, Maxine Williams and Betty McCloon. He is also survived by numerous nieces nephews, and other relatives.
