She was predeceased by: her husband Nathaniel Preston Kirkland, Jr.; her parents, Raymond Strickland and Polly Walker Strickland; and her siblings, Juanita Head, John, Floyd, I and Billy Strickland.
She is survived by: her daughter Loretta; her son-in-law Roger Smith of Douglasville; her son Foy; her daughter-in-law Lafain Kirkland of Blackshear; her sister Jenetha Chaney (T. L.) of Blackshear; and her granddaughters, Stephanie Evans (Jerry), Holly Willits (Gerry) and Brandy Wynn. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren; 4 great, great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
