It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruby Edna Dixon of Blackshear, Georgia, born in Homerville, Georgia, who passed away on August 5, 2022, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Reppard and Mary Edna Byrd Dickerson; her husband Leroy Dixon; her sons, Bud Dixon and Bobby Dixon; her granddaughter Lindee Dixon; her stepdaughters, Dorothy Rowell McKinnon and Lucy Dixon; and her siblings, Ethel Kandetzkie, Ora Mae Altman and J. C. Dickerson.
She is survived by: her daughter Dale; her son-in-law Hardy Thornton of Blackshear; her son Morris Dixon of Blackshear; and her grandchildren, James Robert Dixon (Tammy), Teke Dixon (Michelle), Andy Dixon, Holly Thornton and Doug Thornton. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
