He is survived by: his wife Patricia Lynn Hickox Purvis; his sons, Ricky Purvis (Lisa), Austin Purvis and Jason Purvis of Blackshear; his grandchildren, Dalton, Ellis and Hattie Purvis; and his siblings, Donald Purvis (Cathy) of Macon, J. C. Purvis of Alma, Sara Miles (Winston), Judy Boatright (Larry) of Alma and Gail Wheeler (Randy) of Macon.
