It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lois Gunter (Blackshear, Georgia), who passed away on August 27, 2018, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Jackson Allen Gunter; her daughter Vickie Staley; her grandson Layne Dixon; her siblings, Irene Matthews, Oveda Fullard and Forrest Meeks; and her daughter-in-law Brenda Gunter.
She is survived by: her children, Jackie Gunter of Waycross, Glenn Gunter of Waycross, Keith Gunter of Waycross and Teresa Dixon (Randy) of Blackshear; her grandchildren, Michael Morales of Jacksonville, FL, Michelle Walker of Waycross, Samantha Stone (Les) of Waycross, Kacie Hayes (Nick) of Milledgeville, Melissa Steele (Gordon) of Tuscaloosa, AL, Kyle Gunter of Waycross, Kristina Gunter of Blackshear, Josh Gunter of Jesup, Clark Dixon (Ashley) of Blackshear and Emmeline Dixon of Blackshear; and her siblings, Carlos Meeks of Nicholls and Etrelle Parks of Virginia. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
