She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Lester Dowling, Jr. and Julia Belle Wildes Dowling; and her sons, Brett Strickland and David Lairsey. She is survived by: her husband Roy O'Steen of Blackshear; her children, Rhonda Lairsey Miller of Brunswick and Lindern Lenair O'Steen (Barbara) of Augusta; her grandchildren, Crystal Miller, Danny Hall, Jr., Blayke O'Steen, Victoria O'Steen, Alex Strickland and Brandon Strickland; her great grandchild Odin Hall; and her siblings, Patricia Elledge of Newnan, Bonnie Hull (Kermit) of Atlanta, Judy Ramsey (Gary) of Denver, CO and Dowling (Libby) of Callahan, FL. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
