It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jeffrey Carswell Strickland of Blackshear, Georgia, who passed away on September 25, 2024, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carswell Talmadge and Carolyn Rebecca Ayers Strickland; his granddaughter Emma Strickland; his brother Jerry Strickland; and his brothers-in-law, Steve Middleton and Byron Taylor.
He is survived by: his wife Lynn Taylor Strickland of Blackshear; his children, Justin Strickland (Jenny) of Blackshear, Summer Greene of Gray and Dempsey Herrin (Amanda) of Guyton; his sister Jill Middleton of Blackshear; his siblings-in-law, Stephen Taylor of Darien, Wanda Strickland of Blackshear and Shirley Taylor of Waycross; and his grandchildren, Wheeler Greene, Jon Strickland, Miller Greene, Julian Strickland, Harmony Herrin, Liberty Herrin and Oliver Strickland. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Blackshear (225 Church St, Blackshear, GA 31516). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
