It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Carl Griffin Sr. of Blackshear, Georgia, born in Eustis, Florida, who passed away on January 22, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James William "Jim" and Ada Pauline Tillman Griffin; his wife Annette Henderson Griffin; his son James Carl "Jay" Griffin, Jr.; his in-laws, Oscar Griffin (Nina) and Patsy Bennett Clark (Archie); and his brother-in-law Gator Griner.
He is survived by: his children, Terry Lynn Griffin of Blackshear, Tammy A. Griffin of Blackshear and Thomas Neal Griffin (MaryJane) of Blackshear; his grandchildren, Miranda Annette Griffin and Thomas Blake Minchew (Victoria); his great grandchildren, Sophia Minchew and Buxton Minchew; his siblings, Colleen Griffin of Blackshear, Eleanor Griner of Blackshear, Pat Griffin of Blackshear and Betty Ammons (Danny) of Jesup; and his close friends, Betty Hood of Alma and Timmy Hood of Alma. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
