He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Arnold; and his sister Betty Thompson. He is survived by: his child Jackey Vernon Thompson, Jr.; his wife Becky of Hilliard; his siblings, Donald Thompson, Louise Dykes, Joseph Thompson, David Thompson and Lucian Thompson, Jr.; and also, Melody Delagardelle of Okeechobee, Jason Thompson of Culpeper and Nicki Wilson (Jason) of Blackshear. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, five great grandchildren.
