It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gordon Willis Nessmith of Blackshear, Georgia, born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on January 7, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Nessmith and Naomi Willis Nessmith. He is survived by: his wife Linda Freeman Nessmith of Blackshear; and his stepchildren, Amy Aviles (Joe) of Summerville, SC, Melanie Kevr (Ron) of East Charleston, SC, Dan Strickland (Jennifer) of Blackshear and David Strickland (Robin) of Jacksonville, FL. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
