Gladys Carter Obituary

We are sad to announce that on June 1, 2021, at the age of 87, Gladys Carter of Blackshear, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Elmer and Gladys Alene Boyett Dixon; her husband Charles Edgar Carter; her son-in-law Danny Barnard; her siblings, Kathern Ricks, Osborn Dixon and Raymond Dixon; and her sisters-in-law, Martha Dixon and Joyce Dixon.

She is survived by: her daughters, Janice Boatright (Buddy) of Blackshear, Cheryl Barnard of Blackshear and Lynette Harrell (Al) of White Oak; her brother Oran Dixon of Blackshear; her siblings-in-law, Amy Dixon of Blackshear and L. Ricks of Blackshear; her grandchildren, Jennifer Moseley (Chuck), Janna Strickland (Shannon), Kirsten Smith (Robert), Corbin Barnard, Celeste Sallet (Anthony) and Danlyn Mulkey (Chad); her great grandchildren, Hannah Moseley, Jarrett Moseley, Blake Cason (Jon), Hallye Strickland, Brak Strickland, Layne Barnard, Konner Smith, Kensley Smith and Mia Roberts; and her great great grandchild Warren Lawton Cason. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
