She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie William and Mildred M. Cantrell Strickland; her husband Thomas E. Thornton; her son-in-law Ed Spurlock; and her brothers, Harold Strickland and Leon Strickland.
She is survived by: her children, Anita Spurlock of Blackshear and Tommy Ray; her daughter-in-law Terry Thornton of New Smyrna Beach, FL; her grandchildren, Anesha Lee (Collin), Dwayne Fulton (Joy Edgy) and Chad Thornton; her great grandchildren, Justin Lee, Christian Lee, Matt Mclaughin (Obey Jean), Carson Fulton, Kassidy Thornton, Tye Thornton and Kensley Thornton; her great great grandchildren, Annabelle Lee, Rylee Lee and Dean Mclaughlin; and her close friend Pat Saunders of Blackshear. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
