She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Joseph and Effie Marie Pate Hicks; her son Jimmy; her children-in-law, Lisa Still and John "J. C." English; and her siblings, Lena Grant, Inez Jurnigan, Viola Benner, Clifton Hicks, John Hicks, Ernest "Jabo" Hicks and Joe Hicks.
She is survived by: her children, Donna English of Plant City, FL, Joe Still (Ann) of Blackshear, Lee Tolbert (Tammy) of Blackshear and Ricky Tolbert (Gina) of Valdosta; and her sister Pearl Bryant of Jesup. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews.
