She was predeceased by: her parents, James Franklin and Sallie Roberson Dixon; her husband Lowell Pearson, Jr.; her son James Leroy "Jimmy" Pearson, Jr.; and her siblings, Ilean Baxter, Winlen Walker, Deasy Mattox, Darthell Dixon, Ronnie Dixon and Bronzal Dixon.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Mattox Carter (Duley) of Uvalda and Steven Pearson (Michelene) of Blackshear; her brother Edward "Shorty" Dixon (Bea) of Thomasville; her grandchildren, J. P. Pearson, Lindsay Davis (Matt), Lee Dusterdieck (Steven), Bethany Pearson (J. T. Conrad), Wesley Mattox (Earnestine) and Jesse Pearson (Karsyn Rowell); and her great grandchildren, Olivia Grace Dusterdieck, Olivia Kole Davis, Sterling Dusterdieck, Layken Davis, Jeffrey Pearson and James Pearson. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
