He was predeceased by: his parents, William Edsel Collins and Vera Mae Smith Deen; his wife Sue Thornton Collins; his stepson Edward Aspinwall; and his grandson Anthony Aspinwall.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Susie Dixon (Ronnie) of Blackshear, Dr. Frankie Aspinwall (Marilyn) of St, Marys and Dr. Neil Aspinwall (Teresa) of Lake Charles, LA; his grandchildren, J. R. Aspinwall (Leslie), Frannie Rector (Josh), Ashlee Gonzalez (Brian), Taylor Aspinwall, Melissa Montgomery (Michael), Brittney Oliver, Jake Aspinwall, Marcus Kuja (Sydney) and Marshall Aspinwall; his close friend Tabatha Boyd of Blackshear; and his brothers, Clyde Collins of Gray, GA and Harry Patterson of Alma. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
