It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emma Hester (Blackshear, Georgia), born in Hoboken, Georgia, who passed away on March 22, 2020, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Madison Markson "Duck" and Ocie Viola Melton Martin; and her brothers, Rev. Hilton Martin, Marshall Martin, Marvin Martin, Dennis Martin, Davis Martin and Melvin Martin.
She is survived by: her husband Jimmy Floyd Hester of Blackshear; her daughters, Rhonda (Brian Estep), Brandy (Mark Brown) and Joann (Darrell Blackmon); her siblings, Helen Logan of Waycross, Rev. Jerry Martin (Erica) of Blackshear, Wayne Martin (Sharon) of Blackshear and Ray Martin of Blackshear; and her sisters-in-law, Marie Martin of Blackshear and Marilyn Martin of Spartanburg, SC. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be made to Pierce County Floral inside Wall's IGA so Mr. Hester can keep flowers on Mrs. Hester's grave throughout the year.
