We are sad to announce that on January 2, 2023, at the age of 90, Dottie Harper of Blackshear, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nicholas Lawton and Ocie Dixon Riggins; her husband Milton Francis Harper; and her siblings, Waunella Tuten, B. Fay Riggins, Alvin Riggins, Virgil Riggins, R. C. Riggins, Edgar, Edwin Riggins, Harold Riggins, Riley Riggins, Ray Riggins and Rastus Riggins.
She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Frances Cain of Blackshear, GA, Connie Hereford (Warren) of White Oak, GA, Vicky Strickland (Terry) of Waycross, Christy Williams (Charles) of Bluffton, S. C., Nancy Smith (Hal) of Statesboro, GA and Sherry Lairsey of Blackshear; her grandchildren, Brea Mead (Mason), Joey Tison, Alicia Tison, Leah Southerland (A. J.), Lott Hereford (Katie), Caroline Fuhrmann (Richard), Jake Strickland (Heather), John Strickland, Cary Williams, Shawn Neal (Chip), Brandon Barber, Natalie Barber, Allison Dampier (David) and Ashlie Smith; and her sister Ferrell Bryant (Charles) of Blackshear. She is also survived by 25 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
