She was predeceased by: her husband Duncan Carroll Kirkland, Sr. (D. C.); her parents, James Madison Bowen and Cora Iris Jacobs Bowen; her sons, Richard Glynn Kirkland and Duncan Carroll Kirkland, Jr.; and her siblings, Nellie Bowen and Rev. J. D. Bowen.
She is survived by: her daughter Deborah K. Callahan (Mike) of Vero Beach, FL; her grandchildren, Michael Callahan (Christine) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Wesley Callahan of Jupiter, FL, Wendy K. James (Brian) of Blackshear, Samantha K. Toler (Jimmy) of Douglas, WY, Tiffany K. Bowers (Chris) of Waycross and Duncan Carroll Kirkland, III (Kayla) of Waycross; her great grandchildren, Autumn Toler of Blackshear, Gryphon Toler of Blackshear, Harrison James of Blackshear, Mason James (Lacey) of Brunswick, Wesley James Callahan of Jupiter, FL, Everett Bowers of Waycross and Gabriel Bjorn Kirkland of Waycross; and her siblings, Shirley Bennett (late Phil) of Mershon, David Bowen (Loretta) of Jesup, Buddy Bowen (Wanda) of Blackshear and Danny Bowen (Diane) of Fernandina Beach, FL. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
