It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Barnes of Blackshear, Georgia, born in Fitzgerald, Georgia, who passed away on August 7, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Leon and Ola Flanders Faulk, Sr. of Georgia; her son Grant Barnes; her grandchild Ashton Barnes; and her brother Leon Faulk.
She is survived by: her daughter Angela; her son-in-law Danny Hodges of Blackshear; her sons, Lee (Cathy Barnes), Craig (Kelly Barnes) and Adam (Pug Barnes); her siblings, Udell Holmes of Oviedo, Beverly Perrault (Phil) of Oviedo and Leonard Faulk, Jr. of Oviedo; her grandchildren, Brooke Rentz (Jamey), Joshua Hodges (Kelby), Jared Barnes (Hannah), Hosanna Morris (Michael), Caleb Barnes (Alyssa), Jesse Barnes (Malaina), Caroline Barnes, Luke Barnes, Abigail Burkett (Ethan), Rhett Barnes, Drew Barnes, Judah Hodges, Faith Barnes, Gracie Barnes and Josiah Hodges; her great grandchildren, Noel, Brielle, Aveline, August, Amelia, Taylin, Tinley, Hudson, Mollie Reese, Ella, Emmi and Levi; and her friends, Shelvie Velie, Cheryl Dixon and Ernestine Scurry. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
