It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darciel Judith Smith of Blackshear, Georgia, born in Alma, Georgia, who passed away on December 8, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Jordan and Ellie Jordan; and her siblings, Doris Jordan, Willis Jordan (Bill), Joyce Crawford (Jerlene Crowder) and Tommy Thornton.
She is survived by: her sister Jerlene; her children, Glover Smith (Barbara), Barbara Fischer (Jim), Cheryl Thornton and Pam Wilson (William); her grandchildren, Nicole Smith (Buck), Wendy Dowling (Thad), Kelli Crenshaw (Chris), Will Nimmer (Jaclyn), Chad Nimmer, Stephanie Lott (Matt), Jet Thornton (Amanda), Kalli Barber (Justin), Jason Bradley (Kathy) and Michelle Bradley; and her close friend Sandy Harden of Alma. She is also survived by 20 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
