He is survived by: his wife Sue Peacock Dowling of Blackshear; his sons, David Dowling (Ronda) of Brantley County and Steven Dowling (Samantha) of Jesup; his stepdaughters, Pamela Thomas (Michael) of Blackshear and Mandy Thrift (Justin) of Waycross; his grandchildren, Shane Dowling (Desiree) of Waycross, Todd Dowling (Rachel) of Waycross, Kirsten Williams (Zachary) of Augusta, Ashley Dowling of Jesup, Heather Dowling of Jesup, Megan Dowling of Atlanta, Emma Thomas of Blackshear, Luke Thomas of Blackshear, Pate Thomas of Blackshear, Lily Thrift of Waycross and Nora Thrift of Waycross; his great grandchildren, Grayson McCoy of Jesup, Harrison Daniels of Jesup, Remington Nobles of Jesup, Aubrey Dowling of Waycross, Ethan Dowling of Waycross and Blakely Dowling of Waycross; and his siblings, Bunny Howell of Waycross and Billy Dowling (Cretia) of Waycross. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
