It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carroll Larry Strickland of Blackshear, Georgia, born in Salt Lake City, Utah, who passed away on May 1, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carroll Levell and Alma Louise Shuman Strickland; his brothers, Eugene Strickland and Eddie Strickland; and his nephew Scott Strickland.
He is survived by: his children, Holly Corum (Shane) of Waynesboro and Lawrence Strickland (Kellee) of Acworth; his grandchildren, Lane Corum, McKenzie Strickland and Tate Strickland; his siblings, Sherion Mercer of Blackshear, Patty McIntosh (Dan) of Blackshear, Bobby Strickland (Teresa) of Blackshear and Tony Strickland of Waycross; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Alice Strickland Shelton of Blackshear and Joy Strickland O'Gorman of Blackshear. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
