He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Leroy and Eloise Kirkland Gill; his brother Larry Wayne Gill; and his brother-in-law James "J. L." Spivey. He is survived by: his children, Kim Jenson (Bill) of Fernandina Beach, Charitie Allen (Scott) of Waycross, Crystal Gill of Fernandina Beach, Carrie Gill of Fernandina Beach, Samantha Spivey of Blackshear, Carroll Edward "Ed" Gill, Jr. of Waycross, Joseph Spivey (Brooke) of Blackshear and Bubba Spivey (Chelsea) of Waycross; and his siblings, Shirley CaTron of Blackshear, Linda Spivey of Blackshear, Janice Spivey of Blackshear and Jerry Gill (Pam) of Fernandina Beach. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
