She was predeceased by: her parents, James Nelson and Lucille Carter Wood, Jr.; her husband Royce Everett Carter; her sister Jane; her brother-in-law Murray Comer; and her brother James Nelson "Jimmy" Wood, III.
She is survived by: her son Rhett; her daughter-in-law Lauren Carter of Blackshear; her sister-in-law Fran Wood of Blackshear; and her grandchildren, Ashley Coast Carter, Royce Everett "Trace" Carter, III and Sofie Renae Carter. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pearson-Dial Chapel (659 Main St, Blackshear, GA 31516). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
