It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Morgan Cartey (Bishop, Georgia), born in Athens, Georgia, who passed away on February 5, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, H. G. Sr. and June Cartey of Bishop; his sons, Andrew Cartey, Wesley Cartey and George "Robbie" LaCount; and his brothers, Grier Cartey, Jr., Fred Cartey, John Cartey and Barton Cartey. He was also cherished by his three boys.
