He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, William Byrd Tate Jr. and Dorothy Brooks Tate (Dottie); his wife Cynthia Greene Tate of Big Canoe; his brother Brooks "Chic"; his sister-in-law Jan Tate of Jasper; and his nephew Will (Jordan Tate). He was also cherished by two great-nephews and one great-niece.
