With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Baxter Long of Big Canoe, Georgia, born in Burlington, North Carolina, who passed away on October 29, 2020 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James B. Mae and Fannie Mae; his wife Patricia "Patsy" Long; his stepsons, Mickey Rogers (Perian) and Andy Rogers (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Annabelle, Michael, Drew, Jude and Jane; his nephew Jeff Yarbrough; and his niece Jill Mathieu.

Due to COVID-19, masks are required.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests anyone wishing to honor Jim, please make contributions to the Big Canoe Chapel or Community Assistance Resource and Emergency Services (CARES) of Jasper, Georgia.
