He was predeceased by: his parents, George Simmons and Alice Day Simmons; his wife Annie Christine Parks; and his siblings, Mary Peterman, Annie Cheatham (Ann), Lonnie Simmons, Larry Simmons and Billy Simmons.
He is survived by: his son Allen Davis Simmons (Randy); and his brothers, John Simmons, Frank Simmons (Judy), Bobby Simmons (Nancy), Cecil Simmons and Timmy Simmons (Diane). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
