He was predeceased by: his sisters, Dorothy Cardwell and Francis Mustafa. He is survived by: his wife Barbara E. Harvey of Bethlehem; his children, Ralph Harvey of Atlanta, James Carter Jr. of Newnan and Nicole; his son-in-law Anthony Duvernay of Lawrenceville; his grandchildren, Anthony Duvernay II, Nicholas Duvernay, Jahna Duvernay and Dejanee Carter; his brother Clifford; and his sister-in-law Sarah Harvey of Brooklyn, NY. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
