He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Calvin and Pearl Ann Helton McDaniel; and his siblings, Cecil McDaniel, Paul McDaniel, Annie B. Wells, Mary Ruth McDaniel and Bessie Lee McDaniel.

He is survived by: his daughter Julie Brigham of Bethlehem; and his grandchildren, Alexandra Brigham (Daniel), Maxwell Brigham and Caleb Brigham. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
