He is survived by: his daughter Emily; his son-in-law Brad Payne of Monroe; his daughter Brittany Perry of Smyrna; his grandchildren, Brooke Payne and Blake Payne of Monroe; his sisters, Alba Burton Melton of Jefferson and Bernice; and his brother-in-law Loy Whitley of Monroe. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
