He was predeceased by: his parents, Thad Walter Cannon and Neeley Sue McKinney Cannon; his daughter Frances Juanita Malone; and his siblings, Ralph Cannon, Buddy Cannon, Estelle Croft and Evelyn Kent.
He is survived by: his wife Anna Mae Walls Cannon of Berlin; and his children, Jerry DeLaner Cannon of Moultrie, Buddy Shane Cannon (Elizabeth Ann) of Norman Park, Stacey Rogers of Berlin and Roxie Hobgood (Darren) of Berlin. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
