He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Curtis Norman and Ruth Prosser Norman; and his siblings, Julian Norman, Jack Norman, Ralph Norman, Vivian Colson and Mable Meeks.
He is survived by: his wife Vivian Eva Copeland Norman of Berlin; his children, Susan Elizabeth Grindle (Mike) of Whitehouse, Cathryn June Roth (Jerry) of Middleburg, Phillip Cardin, Jr. (Jackie) of Berlin and Penny Cardin Loden (Bill) of Branson, Missouri; his grandchildren, Jennifer Apling (James), Jeremy Roth (Angie), Elaine Fitzsimmons (David), Anna Coon (Mike), Grace Loden, Christian Apling, Charlotte Apling, Wyatt Roth, Elijah Roth, Dawson Fitzsimmons and Camdyn Fitzsimmons; and his siblings, Jerry Norman (Mary Laura) of Valdosta, Charles Norman (Pat) of Weslaco, Texas and Sarah McDonald of Valdosta.
Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, a memorial service will be held at 11 am on July 11, 2020 in the sanctuary of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Ty Greene and Bro. Anderson Pickle officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family asked that all donations be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Fund C/O Kaye Dortch 514 Stephens Rd. Thomasville, Georgia 31757.
