She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey Hansford James Helmick and Ellamae Pyles Courtney; and her brother Vernon Courtney. She is survived by: her children, Dawn Hobgood (Christopher) of Berlin, Marie Martin, Leodan Barroso of Ray City, Steven Miller of Moultrie and Chris Miller (Amber) of Moultrie; and her friend Kenny Purden. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
