With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roy Ray of Baxley, Georgia, born in Appling, Georgia, who passed away on December 26, 2023 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Joe Ray and Clyo Woodard Ray; his siblings, Charlie Ray (CJ), Nolan Ray, Johnny Ray, Franklin Ray, Cleo Patra Whitehurst, Oletha Patterson (Lee) and Bertha Hall; his daughter Mellissa Minichella; and his grandchildren, Charlie Gene Wenner and Margaret Minichella (Maggie).
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Ray; his children, Walter Ray (April) of Aiken, SC and Paula Ray of Baxley; his grandchildren, Mark Bryant, Jimmy Minichella, Rachel Baker, Ava Baker, Jared Gravat, Nolan Ray and Hannah Ray; and his great grandchildren, Cadence Copley, Christa Copley, Chylie Copley and Wesley Crow.
