He was predeceased by: his children, Ronnie Ray Johnson and Bonnie Melissa Johnson; his granddaughter Bonnie Elizabeth Johnson; his great grandchild Mason Ray Johnson; his parents, Roy Johnson and Eula Pearl Powell Johnson; and his siblings, Donnie Johnson and Grace Johnson Thigpen.

He is survived by: his wife Susan Usher Johnson of Baxley; his daughter Connie Sue Johnson Hutchison (Mark) of Baxley; his grandchildren, Dustin Ray Johnson (Olivia) of Lyons, Erica Marie Fales of Baxley, Macy Johnson Hart (Brent) of Virginia, Ryan Johnson, Wade Johnson of Nahunta and Katie Sue Hutchison of Baxley; and his siblings, Geraldine Johnson Mitchell (Dan) of Vidalia, Evelyn Johnson Odom (James) of Ashland, Linda Johnson Harvey (Wendell) and Louie Wayne Johnson (Debbie) of Lyons. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
