She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Simmons and Neltie Giddens Simmons; and her husband Robert Lee Jackson. She is survived by: her daughter Sheila; her son-in-law Dana James of Beverly Hills, Florida; her grandsons, Daniel James (Jessica) of Atlanta, Andrew James (Emily) of Atlanta and Timothy James (Miandra) of Lowell, Arkansas; her great grandchildren, Lucy James of Atlanta, Miles James of Atlanta, Evelyn James of Atlanta, Henry James and Everett James of Lowell, Arkansas; and her sisters, Alene Thomas of Baxley and Veronis Andrews of Albany. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Zoar Baptist Church (10170 Zoar Rd, Baxley, GA 31513). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
