She was predeceased by: her parents, Ida Henry Wooten and Richard Wooten; her husband William Henry Smith; her daughters, Sally Jean Riddick of Waterbury, Connecticut, Annie Dorothy Davis of Baxley and Edna Merle Reaves of East Orange; her grandsons, Vincent Leonard Riddick and William Reggie Davis; and her siblings, Bonnell Marie Rogers, Rev. Levi Wooten, Gilbert Wooten and Sampson Wooten.
She is survived by: her sons-in-law, Henry Robinson, Ronald Burkett and Benjamin Davis; her children, William Henry Smith, Jr. of Baxley, Georgia, Shirley Robinson of Baxley, Georgia, Ruby Ryals of Hephzibah, Georgia, Verna Smith Walker of Dublin, Georgia and Jacqulyn Burkett of Surrency, Georgia.; her children-in-law, Vanessa Smith, Vernon Riddick, Sr. of Waterbury and Rickey Walker of Dublin, Georgia.; her sister Ruby Lee Rooks; her sister-in-law Alretta Wooten; and her close friends, Rebecca Ogden, Carolyn Reaves and Tommy Beard. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.
She was especially dedicated to the work of the Progressive Resource Center in Baxley and spent many hours attending meetings, selling dinners, soliciting donations and doing what she could to keep the center going.
