He was predeceased by: his wife Cleora Bird; and his sons, Kelly Bird and Claude Allen Bird. He is survived by: his son Gary Bird; his daughter-in-law Leta Bird of Baxley; his granddaughter Rachel Bird of Baxley; his great grandchild Harrison "Cricket" Tillman of Baxley; his daughter-in-law Denise Bird Pittman of Vidalia; his niece Sarah Smith; and also Kathy Sellers.
