She was predeceased by: her parents, George Carroll Griffin and Mary Vertell Drawdy Griffin; her husband Don Ivan Smiley; and her brother James Richard Griffin. She is survived by: her children, Donnie Carroll Smiley (Krystal) of Baxley and Christa Smiley Kirksey (Wade); her siblings, Ann Crummey (Truett) of Cochran, Retha Hutto (Mike) of Baxley, Mary Herrington (Tony) of Baxley, Joyce Tillman (Landry) of Baxley and Rev. David Griffin (Marcia) of Hazlehurst; her grandchildren, Lauren Johnston (James), Cason Kirksey, Natalie Smiley, Rylan Smiley, Paisley Smiley, Garrison Coleman and Layton Coleman; and her great grandchild Ivan Johnston.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Swain Funeral Home (1632 Hatch Pkwy N, Baxley, GA 31513). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Friendship Congregational Christian Church (900 Friendship Church Rd, Baxley, GA 31513).
