He was predeceased by: his parent Henry Clayton Courson; his son Michael Eugene Courson; his grandson Kristopher Kodi McCorvey; and his sister Faye Bokor. He is survived by: his parent Dorothy Inez Altman Courson; his wife Georgia Howard Courson of Waycross; his daughter Julia McCorvey (Tommy) of Waycross; his grandson Kori McCorvey (Kim) of Blackshear; his great grandchildren, Courson McCorvey, Collins McCorvey, Kali McCorvey, Violet McCorvey and Brogen McCorvey; his siblings, Dorothy Brazel Brooks (Gene) of Blackhear and Carl Courson (Phyllis) of Blackshear; his stepbrother Dan Cason (Ann) of Blackshear; and his sister-in-law Jean Logan Hickox of Waycross. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
